Improvisation One is the first of the "Seven Improvisations," Op.150 by Camille Saint-Saëns, composed for solo organ and published in 1917.

Upon discovering the original piece, a mezmerized Widmo immediately set out to embellish the work with drum machines, orchestration, and synthesizers in a modern EDM / pop style. Two months later, a transcription was complete.

Featuring over 230 drum and instrument tracks, the recording is meant as much a tribute to 1970's Moog composers like Wendy Carlos, Mort Garson, and Gershon Kingsley as it is the famously underappreciated composer.

File under Library Pop / Classical / EDM.
